Stay up to date with SCTA operations by reading the recently posted third quarter report which outlines progress made on the SCTA strategic plan from July to September of 2019. The report includes in-depth status updates from SCTA partners and workgroups on their respective strategies and tactics.  SCTA partners and workgroups also completed strategic planning this fall, and the 2020 strategic plan will be published in early 2020. In the meantime, continual quality improvement remains at the center of SCTA workgroup efforts. The strategic plan will outline a 12-month plan for advancing telehealth services, technology, education, and policy to extend access to care to even more South Carolinians via telehealth. The strategies are:  - Deploying an open-access telehealth network- Understanding and effectively responding to the needs of users of telehealth with an emphasis on the underserved and rural- Building and scaling clinical services and programs that expand access- Broadening mental health and related clinical services and programs to increase access to care- Conducting statewide education, training and promotion to providers and the public to accelerate and spread adoption of telehealth- Developing a telehealth organization structure that encourages and facilitates statewide collaboration among providers in the delivery of health care, education and research- Establishing the value case for telehealth through robust assessment and rigorous analysis of telehealth outcomes- Demonstrating to legislators, payers, providers, and the public the impact of telehealth on improving access, quality, and affordabilityStay tuned for a link to the 2020 strategic plan which will chart the course for the acceleration of telehealth in South Carolina next year.
