SCTA Training & Education

Education Workgroup

The education workgroup conducts statewide education, training, and promotion to providers and the public to accelerate and spread adoption of telehealth. The workgroup strives to provide relevant cutting-edge training and education for providers using telehealth technologies to care for their patients, as well as those who are receivers of telehealth services in different settings, including community hospitals, primary care and specialty offices, schools, skilled nursing facilities, and prisons. Palmetto Care Connections and South Carolina AHEC serve as co-leads for the education work group.

The first module in the series, Telehealth 101, provides foundational insights into telehealth practices, covering essential concepts including social determinants of health and telehealth benefits, risks, and barriers.
